After a great deal of consideration, we have concluded that the 7th Bobby Faller Memorial Golf Tournament, held last year, was our last.   This was an exceedingly difficult decision for the family to make, but after considering numerous factors we determined that this was the appropriate time to discontinue the golf tournament.  Our family is eternally grateful to all of you who have in any way aided us in making the tournament so successful for the last seven years.  The tournament gave all of us who loved Bobby the opportunity to spend one day a year dedicated specifically to him.  The tournament also helped the members of our family find some amount of closure.  We were given the opportunity to witness the love that so many people have for Bobby.  Further, it really demonstrated that although Bobby may no longer be here with us, he will never truly be gone because all of you still celebrate and remember him.

It would be impossible to express the deep level of gratitude that we have for everyone who has, on any level, contributed to the tournament’s success.  We are so very grateful for those of you who have ever played in the tournament.  It was touching to see the large number of people who returned year after year to spend the day with us.  The same must be said of all of our sponsors.  The generosity exhibited by those who donated money, time or gifts to our cause is astounding.  Finally, we want to thank the staff at Blue Ridge Trail Golf Course for taking such excellent care of us every year since the tournament’s inception.  We would have never been able to have a golf tournament without every single person who has contributed to it.  We are sad that the time has come for this chapter to be over, but we will never forget the level of compassion, kindness and generosity that was shown to us by each and every one of you.
